Meet Dawn Pitman

I have always known that Jesus was God, and God was the creator of all things from as far back as I can remember. However, discovering and developing a personal relationship with Jesus took much longer.

As I began my college education and left my home in Clearwater, FL to attend the University of West Florida, I was on a path of independence, ready to do my own thing my own way...basically I was running to the world and all it had to offer. Thankfully the Lord did not let me stray far in my so called independence. Not long after moving to Pensacola I was invited to a Calvary Chapel Gulf Breeze Bible study for young adults; long story short, the Lord used those at the Bible study to reveal to me that He was my God, not just a God; and I could do nothing without Him. I surrendered my heart completely to Him and began the wondrous journey of having a personal relationship with Him! Now, as if that wasn't enough, at that same Bible study I met my husband Randy Pitman. I couldn't have imagined a more handsome, charming, passionate Christian man (I'm getting tons of wife points here!) to be my husband. Now, 12 years later Randy and I are privileged to be serving the body of Christ here at CCGB. The Lord has blessed us with a son, Evan, who was born in May of 2006.

Today, I am on a path of dependency on God; it is an honor to be serving Him in the Women's Ministry and I am so grateful to be serving with Lynn, as she has so much wisdom and passion I can only hope to attain.
